The Sacred Remedy toĀ Stress, Anxiety, Pain & Suffering
Dear Conscious Caring Nurse,
You probablyĀ heartbroken from the state of healthcare right now and maybe you're in search for an enlightened path forward in your nursing career that caters to your wellness while improving patient outcomes. I used to be where you are!
In 1996, while studying Ayurveda with Dr. Deepak Chopra, I had a VISIONā¦
I saw a new conscious, enlightened nurse ā who united the ancient wisdom of yoga with the science of modern nursing.
A MODERN NIGHTINGALE ā A YOGANURSE!
I found the SACRED REMEDY and thatās what I teach you in the YogaNursing Essentials Training.
As a best selling author, speaker, mentor and trainer, Iāve helped thousands of nurses and their patients to experience health, peace and wisdom.
Itās absolutely my dharma (purpose) in life to serve YOU with the guidance, structure needed to create a holistic nursing career you love.
āWe Cannot Change the Nursing Culture,
Without Changing the Nursing Consciousness.ā #yoganursingĀ
Ā In Sacred Service To Nurses SinceĀ 2006,
Annette Tersigni, Founder of YogaNurse.
Since 2006 the YogaNurse team has been on a mission to create expand consciousness in healthcare and create an army of modern day Nightingales. We've made waves in the healthcare industry and the YogaNurse® Model of Care has been taught at hospitals, nursing colleges, nursing conferences, the Mayo Clinic, at a Magnet Conference, the VA, senior centers, and all nursing specialty areas, including in private practice. Our program is endorsed by national nursing leaders including Dr. Jean Watson founder of Watson Caring Science. Yoga is science-backed to improve patient outcomes, alleviate symptoms, manage pain, improve mental health, reduce risks of diseases, improve wellbeing, sleep and quality of life. Nurses are the perfect advocates for improving patient care. This is the best way forward for the nursing profession!
As a nurse you’re looking to address SAFETY when applying therapeutic yoga in your practice as an adjunct therapy, and increase referrals, but most importantly reduce the risk of injury to consumers of yoga in your community. We teach gentle therapeutic medical yoga practised, proven and researched.
Dip your feet in the YogaNurse model of care with the YogaNursing Essentials and experience the fundamental, non-boring theory and fundamentals of ‘Yoga Nursing’: including the Three Part Sacred Remedy Rx— a cost effective SOLUTION to ‘depressing’ CRITICAL STRESS, ANXIETY, PAIN AND SUFFERING.
In the last 3 years the amount spent on wellness programs almost tripled, it’s now a TRILLION DOLLAR industry!
Hospitals and companies worldwide are drowning in rising healthcare costs, because of illness, stress, accidents, absenteeism and burnout! As a result, they are losing money…and they are looking for solutions. YOU, genius nurse that you are, are perfectly positioned to provide the solution.
The IOM- Institute of Medicine’s Report on the future of nursing states- “nurses, as the largest segment of the health care workforce are well- positioned to lead change and advance health”. Well being has become a huge global trend. Businesses are now realizing that taking care of their people is a great investment. Studies show that companies can SAVE $4.58 for every $1.00 they spend on wellness due to the reduced medical costs, accidents etc… “Those numbers create a phenomenal opportunity for NURSES!” Yes, STRESS is the number 1 preventable cause of disease, burnout and exhaustion and yet the crippling effects of stress remains underestimated and poorly managed. You can make a difference and we teach you exactly how to remedy Stress, Anxiety, Pain and Suffering with the Sacred Remedy.
Teaching Gentle, seated yoga, diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation lessons is transforming health care. I teach nurses how to become sought after ‘stress relief experts’ for high-paying corporate wellness programs in hospitals, government, conferences and business. I’ve become an expert at doing just that for the past 20 years and I’m passionate to show YOU how you can too!
NO, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A CERTIFIED YOGA TEACHER TO TAKE OR TEACH THE ESSENTIALS
RN Annette Tersigni has been practicing yoga since she was 17 years old and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience throughout her 71 years of life. She is certified in Kripalu Yoga (1994), taught at the Kripalu yoga center for 9 years, and is also a certified Integral yoga teacher (2004) and Ayurvedic educator with Deepak Chopra (pictured) and David Simon (1996). Additionally, she has been influenced by traditional yoga schools such as Sivananda yoga and has been training nurses in the YogaNurse Model of care since 2006.
Annette was previously grandfathered into Yoga Alliance as ERYT, 500 hours. However, she has since moved on to develop the YogaNurse Model of Care, which offers curated trainings for nurses to safely integrate yoga as an adjunct therapy. The Yoga Alliance guidelines for training were too restrictive for her vision and the needs of nurses, who are medical professionals and licensed practitioners.
Annette's faculty of CYNs (Certified YogaNurses) are brilliant and certified at a minimum of 200 hours. They have taken advanced trainings from the YogaNurse model of care and have multiple qualifications in yoga from a diverse range of teachers. Many of them started with Annette by taking the YogaNursing Essentials course, they were not yoga teachers at the time.
If you're interested in learning more about the YogaNurse Model of Care, we recommend starting with the affordable YogaNursing Essentials course, which offers 10 Contact Hours. After completing the Essentials, you can consider moving on to our advanced training, where you will be mentored by Annette and her CYN faculty leadership to become a Certified YogaNurse.

The Nursing profession has reached a point of dangerous, critical stress. The YogaNurse® Model of Care was created to offer a plan for nurses, nursing and health care organizations.
The results of recent nursing surveys reveal the dangerous levels of stress that RNs live with, on the job and in their personal lives. Sleep deprivation, 12-hr shifts and longer, night shifts, poor diets, unrealistic workloads, lack of authority at the workplace and unsupportive management are just some of the key contributors to the stress being experienced by RNs today.
The changing healthcare climate today offers holistic nurses new opportunities in health and wellness promotion, including lifestyle choices and the management of disease.
The YogaNurse® Model of Care is an innovative, cost effective adjunct therapy to offer to hospitals, businesses, and government agencies such as the VA, and in the private sector to treat pervasive stress.
The biggest trend in wellness is focused on delivering holistic based classes and seminars to businesses in STRESS RELIEF.
You have the opportunity with this training, to offer your services to hospitals, businesses, government, conferences, retreat centers, resorts, senior homes - you can completely revamp your nursing career and improve patient care!
Our brilliant Certified YogaNurse Latora Grant Scott is doing incredible work for her patients. Here’s what some of her customers say about her: Recently a client, who had a kidney transplant, shared with her transplant specialist that she was working with me. The doctor wrote in her chart that she should “continue working with her nurse yoga educator” because her blood pressure is the best that it has ever been.
Great news! You have the opportunity to teach the ‘YogaNursing Essentials’ and I highly encourage you to do so.
Just keep in mind, according to legal guidelines, you cannot market or call yourself a YogaNurse® unless you become a CYN- Certified YogaNurse®.
But don't worry, there are still plenty of ways to describe yourself when marketing or teaching, such as a fitness nurse, wellness nurse, nurse wellness educator, nurse wellness specialist, nurse yoga educator, holistic nurse educator, or RN-stress relief and yoga educator or any variation thereof that does not include the words: yoga nurse (in that specific order) or YogaNurse.
Lots of nurses who have taken the Essentials have successfully used these terms with integrity in the workplace.
Also, it's a great idea to mention on your resume that you have taken a training in the YogaNursing Essentials.
Please note, you are not permitted to use any trademarked logos or YogaNurse® images, and you may not call yourself a YogaNurse® or a Certified YogaNurse® CYN, unless you take the YogaNursing certification training.
If you're interested in becoming certified, the first step is to take the Essentials home study program available here, or attend one of my live trainings on site. After completing the Essentials program, you'll be invited to join our 3-part Certified YogaNurse (CYN) program.
To ensure the quality and consistency of our work, and to maintain the fidelity of our research, only Licensed and Certified YogaNurses are authorized to facilitate the YogaNursing process and teach the official trademarked YogaNurse program, and call yourself a Certified YogaNurse® – CYN.
CYN's receive a Certificate of Completion + Lifetime use of the YogaNurse Brand Assets including trademarked avatars, a copy of the YogaNurse logo + badges to use in your resume, bio and in your print & online marketing materials.
Some of the bountiful benefits of becoming a Certified YogaNurse® are the endless possibilities for teaching. Many of our grads work with private clients one on one at home or in an office, at hospitals and businesses in the gigantic, in demand and lucrative workplace wellness market place, community wellness centers and at locations with other holistic practitioners. Other Nurses create alliances with yoga studios, YMCAs, schools, universities, colleges, for continuing education for staff and students, seniors centers, assisted living facilities, churches and synagogues, and in government, i.e. the VA. Others become coveted speakers for local and national nursing organizations and conventions.

Yoga is a beautiful practice that accepts and celebrates you just as you are. You are more than enough, and your unique qualities are what make you an inspiration to others. It takes courage to step outside of your comfort zone, try new things, and commit to visibility and vulnerability. I know this firsthand from pursuing my own biggest dream in April 2020. Initially, I was apprehensive about showing my senior citizen face on camera and speaking in front of large crowds during training events. However, this vulnerability turned out to be what drew people to me, as they were looking for someone real and authentic to learn from. In yoga, there is no need to strive for perfection. Everyone can benefit from the practice, regardless of their shape, size, gender, or age. The focus is on self-acceptance, self-love, and finding your higher self. You have the power to inspire others to find their own strengths and live their best lives. So be bold, my dear, and trust that you will find your flow.

"This program has really inspired me. Itās a simple, short practice thatās easy to incorporate into your day but would make a profound difference. I have been looking for a way to marry yoga and nursing and this is a beautiful way to reenter that space. Not only supporting my fellow nurses but also finding a way to support and nurture my true calling which I feel is holistic nursing. I am excited to see where this path leads, thank you for lighting the way!"
-Ā Lara Dustin, RN, Home Health, Holistic Nurse
"I am thrilled to be able to purchase the online Yoga Nurse Training! Iāve also begun some of the meditations and actually fell asleep because I was so relaxed NOT bored!!! Iāve also spoken to my VN school and theyād like me to begin to incorporate the Yoga Nurse program at school, not only for nursing students and staff, but also for other Allied Health students and staffā¦EXCITING things are about to happen!! I can feel it!!"
"Annette has a pretty amazing story. She went from being a Top Model to āŖYogaā¬ Instructor to āŖNurseā¬. We often call ourselves ānurse entrepreneursā yet it is misleading. An āentrepreneurā is one who innovates, creates something new. Annette is an entrepreneur in that she combined Yoga & Nursing to create the new nursing specialty of Yoganursing. Her mission is to teach, lead nurses into this new field, to build an āarmyā of Yoga Nurses. In reviewing her āYoga Nursing Essentialsā home study course, she gives all that she has to give, and over delivers as a rule. I will always admire her for that."
"There were many aspects I loved, the sutras especially, the flowing water and no obstruction and ease. The similarity you address between breath and spirit. I think it helps to assuage conflicts people have about Yoga being a religion that goes against Judeo-Christian theology. Sacred rest really helped me with my most challenging pose- savasana. Sacred breath helped me to get into my Tich Naht Hahn books on Mindfulness. Those are just the highlights off the top of my head but itās a great movement. Iāll definitely serve as a YogaNurse āambassadorā and encourage nurses and RN students to check out the website."
"I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. I am half way into the Yoganursing Essentials course, and this is exactly what I needed at this point in my life/ career. On one level, I am a brand new baby nurse, working hard to learn the art and science of nursing, navigating nursing culture, and living daily with a high level of SAPS, afraid that I am not measure up to my new trusted role as an RN. The other side of me knows that I am also a wise woman with a caring healing spirit who entered the field of nursing because I want to use this energy to lift up my patients and help them thrive. Yoga brings union that helps unite my new nurse experience with my inner wise woman, and the encouragement and teaching in your essentials course are helping being that path of union and healing for both of myself and others to life. Thank you for all you share!"
"YogaNursing Essentials, a new offering by Annette Tersigni, is a powerful tool for self-examination, personal growth, and self-care. Geared towards nurses interested in holistic health and the YogaNurse model, this self-paced course allows the user to learn at his or her own pace, integrating the prescribed practices in an organic, self-directed fashion. Using the printed word, video instruction and audio files, different personal learning styles are accommodated. The varied structure and format make the learning process interesting, fun, flexible and participatory, while maintaining the integrity and cohesiveness of the material. Whether youāre a nurse who currently practices yoga or a nurse who is new to holistic models of care, I highly recommend Yoga Nurse Essentials, for both personal and professional growth."
"I have finished the lessons and your modules. I found it very rewarding and useful for my Mental Health Nursing. I plan to implement the structure with adolescent patients in my unit during nursing educational programs. Thank you for your support in YogaNursing. Hope to work with you."
"I recently benefited greatly Annetteās training. I worked in Primary Care for over 30 years, and am in the process of transitioning into teaching group classes. Annette helped me to clarify my initial and long term goals, and provided valuable resources. Thanks to Annette, my goals will hopefully be realized sooner than expected."
"I took Annetteās Intro to YogaNursing training in Florida and was totally inspired. I then hired Annette for several consultations on how to position myself as a nurse entrepreneur and bring yoga therapy, stress management and back safety into my hospital and community. At the beginning of our consults, Annette told me she wanted me to rate our session between 1 and 10 and that she wanted a 10 out of 10. My ratingā I said, ā How about an 11 or 12 out of 10!ā Seriously. Both times Solid gold, generous, gifted advice! Iām now well on my way to living my dream."
"Thank you so much, Annette, for speaking with me the other day and providing additional material. I enjoyed our conversation so much and it was also very helpful. What we discussed has caused me to rethink how to structure the business, but in a good way. You are a great coach!"
